Al Simones used to own/run a record store called Purple Phrogg records in the incredibly small town of North Lima, OH for as long as my 25 year old ass can remember. Went there when I was little and stopped in just about everytime that I drove by. Al was a hell of a nice guy and losing that shop hit home with a lot of people who loved it/him. If you see this Al, we miss you and still wish we could buy records off of you...long live Purple Phrogg!!!!!
Fuaaaa thats great Scott!!! It would be great to see more pictures of that session, any available out there ?? Looked at your site and its awesome indeed!... great shoots and a great camera you must have... thanks for dropping by...lets keep in touch!!!
The photos taken for the 1st LP were shot on BW film. While I still have the negatives, I'm currently without a BW darkroom set up or access to a film scanner to scan those negatives.
However, my younger brother, found a box of old BW prints that were long forgotten & there is one BW enlargement from the FIRST photos shoot for the 1st LP that we didn't use.
I'd be happy to send you a copy to display providing, of course, you credit me as the photographer.
Ohh it would be nice... yes of course Ill credit you as the official photographer...dont worry! here you have an mail, plis write me or leave your here...any thing you want...
Sorry to report for all who knew and were fortunate to call Al friend. My understanding is that Al passed away in Oct of 2018. We will all miss him and his talent !

I like Enchanted Forest a lot...thanks for the chance to hear the other two!
I have to thank you for posting this, I was never able to score the LP and I have been searching for this for a long time now. Thank you very much.
Glad you like it!
Really cool to see all this.
Years ago, after moving back up from the deep south, I drove past the Purple Phrogg a few times but it was closed & then I heard it shut down.
For years Al was always turning me & my bro onto some great stuff & was truly a great guy to talk to.
I took the photos for his 1st LP & have 2 original copies of it. It's awesome.
